Three picture books you didn’t know you needed but actually need immediately:
- Dinosaur Kisses, David Ezra Stein: Can Dinah the baby dinosaur learn how to kiss? Funny how her kisses look a lot more like chomps and stomps than anything else.. The expressions in this book are absolutely priceless — Stein’s skill with horrified eyeballs in particular is beyond compare — and it’s an excellent read-aloud, as we demonstrated at the front desk earlier this weekend.
- Circus 1 2 3, Guido van Genechten: You may have read counting books before, and you may have read about ladybugs before, but have you ever counted out a ladybug circus?! Yep, it’s as awesome as it sounds.
- Mr. Wuffles!, David Wiesner: It is Mr. Wuffles vs. the teeeeeny tiny aliens. Who will triumph? Will anyone come to the alien’s aid? Why exactly is Mr. Wuffles so fascinated with the radiator? Jenn is obsessed with Weisner’s wordless picture books, and this one is a sci-fi and cat lover’s delight.
